How to build responsive list in 4 easy steps

Welcome back!

by JJ Manning and Jason Brown

If you have been online for any amount of time you would have heard the saying the money is in the list. This list is a list of people who have either bought from you, read your newsletter or have signed up for something you have given away that has interested them. There are four keys steps on how to build a list and a relationship with them so that you can make big bucks online.

1 ” Opt-in form ” An opt-in form is somewhere that a visitor to your website can enter their name and email address usually in exchange for something. You need to place some html code on your website for this to happen and can get this code from an auto responder service. This may sound technical but there are a few services available and you dont have to have technical knowledge to install it.

2 ” Traffic - Now you have your form up and running on your website you need to drive traffic to it. There are several ways to do this including pay per click, blog and forum posting, video marketing and of course article marketing. There are lots more but these will do to start.

3 ” Incentive ” Once a visitor arrives at your website you will need to offer them something of value in exchange for their contact details. This can be a free report you have written or have rights to that will be relevant to your audience. It must be good so that you can appear to be someone worth listening too.

4 ” Build a relationship ” this is just as important as any other aspect when building your list. You need to gain the trust of your list as well as making yourself seem like someone who has something of value to offer. Webinars and blog posts are key to this as you must be yourself, being yourself will shine through and people can connect with you and once whey do this you will have a list and a fan base.

These are the basics to create yourself a list of people who are interested in you. Now there are two really big important factors you will need to learn. Driving traffic is the first and how to build a relationship with your list is the second if you want this to be successful.
