Welcome back!
I’m feeling a little sad because my country’s soccer team, Singapore, lost in the semi-finals of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 to our South-East Asian counterparts, Vietnam.
For those who have never heard of the AFF Suzuki Cup, it is a tournament where only Southeast Asian countries take part to see who is the best in the region. It used to be called Tiger Cup.
My country, Singapore, has been the defending champion twice and has been on a 21 unbeaten match streak. But Vietnam burst our bubble.
We got a 0-0 draw in the first leg at Vietnam and then we lost 1-0 on our home ground.
I was hoping that my country could at least make it to the finals but it was not to be. Its ok, I’ll wait till the next tournament which is in 2 years time!
I do enjoy the day with my girlfriend and friends though.. Here are some pictures & videos:
